FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
If you don’t see the answer to your question below please contact us! Q: What happens during a nutrition counseling appointment? A: During your initial (first) appointment Holli will find out more about you including personal medical history, family history, current nutrition issues or concerns and your specific goals or reason for nutrition counseling. During this initial session you should be prepared to discuss your lifestyle habits including sleeping and waking patterns, how you spend your days, as well as physical activity and nutrition habits. Finally we will discuss food issues including what you like and don’t like to eat, who does the grocery shopping in your family, and how often you cook and eat out. After all this information is collected Holli will share her assessment and recommendations of how we should proceed. We will discuss the best approach for you to reach your goals. This is an individual issue and each client is given personal attention and consideration so that we can develop the plan that best fits your needs and lifestyle. Q: How often and how long do I meet with you? A: After the initial evaluation plan on at least two follow up appointments so that your personal plan can be fine tuned. Some individuals may only need one or two sessions while others may come consistently for weeks or months. We will plan follow up sessions based upon your specific needs. Included in the price is e-mail support between your in-person sessions so you may contact me at anytime you have a question or concern. With regards to personal training, each session lasts approximately one hour in length. How often you choose to meet with our personal trainers will vary based on what your overall fitness goals are. You may choose to meet with a personal trainer once or twice a week or once or twice a month. Q: How much does it cost? A: Please contact us for specific pricing information. We accept payment in the form of personal checks or cash and do not accept credit cards at this time. Q: Where do we meet? A: For nutrition counseling, clients have the choice to meet with me where they feel most comfortable. You can either come to our office, located in Herndon, Virginia, or we will come to you. Please be advised that additional travel costs will be incurred if you live outside Fairfax County. Regarding personal training, clients will be trained at our in-home professional studio. Q: Does insurance cover nutrition services? A: It depends. Each insurance provider is unique so it is a good idea to check with your carrier regarding your specific coverage. We will provide you with a detailed invoice that you may submit to your insurance company for reimbursement. Also, if your treatment was recommended by your physician you might want to include a prescription for nutrition counseling from him/her (a simple note on a prescription pad will do). This may be your best chance of obtaining reimbursement if your nutrition services are necessitated because of a medical condition. A: We require at least 24 hours prior to your appointment (for both nutrition counseling and personal training) for any cancellations. Clients are responsible for the cost of a session without adequate notice. Your cooperation in this matter is greatly appreciated. |
